Little Dragon/Theophilus London-Bowery Ballroom
Last night I had the pleasure of seeing Swedish band Little Dragon and Brooklyn rapper Theophilus London perform at Bowery Ballroom. It is so refreshing to see artists who are in love with their craft 'do what they do'. Both performances were so pure and raw. (My apologies for the bad photos)
Little Dragon's music is hard to categorize (and I don't think it should be categorized). Electronic-y, soul, R&B, hints of hip-hop all rolled up into one. Lead singer, Yukimi's voice is so soulful, which I wasn't expecting when I was first introduced to Little Dragon's music.
And I just love Theophilus London. Dope music. SUPER dope performer. P.S He was drunk off of whiskey last night. Loved it.

So word on the street is Rihanna will grace the cover of American Vogue in the near future according to jezebel.com. Rih-rih apparently tweeted about it, which I'm guessing is a no no. I pray to God it's true. Her shoots are ALWAYS sick.

While I don't really consider myself a fan of Nicki Minaj's music, from time to time I will unleash my inner monster and rap Nicki's verse like I wrote it. With that said, I am a fan of her fashion spreads. The looks in this shoot...the makeup, the outfits, the hair...all good in my book. Hmmm...Nicki the fashion muse? Maybe not yet. We'll have to wait and see.

In the Meantime
Hey there! Back after a small hiatus. We all have our priorities and Fashion Personified, unfortunately, was not at the top of my list for the past few months. Midterms. Finals. Papers. Travel. More midterms. More finals and more papers. Had a lot of time to think though..."Is Fashion Personified worth it?...what do I want to do with it?...how do I set it apart? ...Mecc, there are a million and one fashion blogs out there, guuurl ain't nobody checkin for you!"...and so on and so forth.
All of these questions are going to be answered as time passes. I mentioned a while back that I believe in letting things evolve organically. No special formula, no defined plan.
Anywho...what I was doing in the meantime...Traveling....
PRAGUE
Prague Castle in the distance. Such a beautiful city.

Stockholm...Dopest city ever!
Look closely. That's the queen of Sweden.
AMSTERDAM
Amsterdam was everything and more!
COPENHAGEN
Two murals in Christiana an "alternative community" in Copenhagen.
Studying...
Not fun so no pictures.
And most importantly...I turned 25!
