I (DIS)Heart: The Fashion Show

Now I'm not the one to be a Negative Nancy but I really dislike this show. I did give it a chance and every time it comes on I watch it, but it just doesn't do it for me. I think that the first, and probably most distressing, problem with the show is the cast. For one, they are extremely boring and two, I don't see much talent. I mean you have Merlin and Reco, who are indeed characters, but not so much where I really want to tune in to see their antics, much less their designs or any of the casts' designs (though Reco's snowsuit was SICK!!). Some admittedly can't sew, one stole a design, I mean if this is their attempt to create a little drama for the show, they failed miserably.

The next problem that I have with the show is Kelly Rowland. Just because you went to a few fashion shows does not mean that you have the insight to be able to sit side by side with Isaac Mizrahi and Fern Mallis. Please. Bravo you could have done better with that one.

My last problem with the show is the production. I do not like the format of the show. The teams, the fashion show at the end of the challenge, the 'fashion people' in the audience; it's all very corny. I'm thinking that they tried to not become a Project Runway copycat, which I respect, but the execution is all wrong. Much like that safety pinned mess that was sent down the runway by one of the designers.

Am I the only one who dislikes this show? Is it just a Project Runway bias? Who knows. But I'll tune in again.....

The Fashion Furlough is OVER!

Hello All! I am a bad blogger...a very bad blogger. Fashion Personified, the neglected child and I, the horrible, neglectful, no-stranger-to-child-services parent. But no more. See the thing is, I am a Speech Pathology student meaning at some point in my semester my school work consumes me and has a monopoly over my time. And what can I say or do? Nothing, because it will one day pay the rent. But the semester is over and I will care for and nurture Fashion Personified like a good parent should. Stayed tuned...
